Wooden lining is a natural facing material widely used for both interior and exterior decoration. Environmentally friendly, aesthetically pleasing, inexpensive lining is easy to install, lasts a long time and, when combined harmoniously with other finishing materials, creates a pleasant home atmosphere.

Types of lining

By quality, the lining is divided into classes:

  • extra is the highest quality option. The boards have no knots, cracks, or resin pockets. The core is no more than 5%;
  • middle classes “A” and “B” - live knots and non-through cracks are acceptable (no more than 1 per 1 linear meter);
  • cheapest class “C” - not used for interior decoration.

The wooden lining used in the interior has a thickness of 12 to 40 mm, with a width of 76 to 200 mm. The length can be from 0.3 to 6 m, and the spike size is 4-5 mm.

The eurolining used in the interior has a standard thickness (12.5 mm) and width (80, 100, 110, 120 mm). Its length is from 1.2 to 4 m, and the spike is 8-9 cm.

In addition, it is made from higher quality wood, the moisture content of which does not exceed 15% and has a higher price.

Advantages of wooden lining

This cladding material is made from solid wood of different species and is absolutely safe for health. Warm, natural tones fit harmoniously into any interior. It has high thermal insulation characteristics and can last a very long time. The material is easy to install and can be tinted while maintaining the original texture.

The disadvantages include the need for treatment with fire retardants and antifungal substances before installation.


Use of wooden lining in the interior
